Great staff makes for a great educational experience.
Horrible university and the worst nursing program.
Currently go here. I love how the campus is off on its own and a lot of the teachers iv had are very nice. but nursing program is very hard and the teachers in the program are rude, only a few are nice. I ask questions all the time and they tell me I should know it and don't answer me. Im planning on dropping out of the program. The teachers don't wanna work with students who take a while to understand the material, they rather work with kids who already know it and are very smart. Also speaking with many juniors, they have told me that there nursing class started with 200 students sophomore year and by junior year 100 kids dropped out. I don't know if the school thinks this is good cause there left with the best but half the class dropping out just for being in junior year is not something to be proud of. This program thinks its the best but there are a lot of flaws and it seriously has a ton to work on to make it better starting with teachers who actually want to teach students that don't understand the material as well instead of ignoring them.
My personal opinion of this school is that they are despicable. I was sued by this school for falling on financial hardship. My opinion of this school is that they are money hungry, shameless, rude and hypocritical and nothing more than a glamorized community college. In regards to QUALITY of education this school would actually fall short in comparison to any community college. In my opinion, this school has no INTEGRITY. FYI: there is no nice or holy way to sue anyone. It is also extremely offensive coming from a school that claims to be a catholic entity. In my opinion, it is hypocritical to teach forgiveness and helping the poor and people in need in your school while claiming to be a catholic school and then sue former students who fall on financial hardships. I'll never forget how catholic organizations like this school had no problem freeloading donation after donation in monetary support and other forms of support from my family for years, but when the time came where I needed them to help me this school per court documents, "insisted on suing me in court for unpaid tuition." In my opinion, if you don't personally believe in forgiving and helping others then at least honor it considering the FACT that you teach it and base your school mission on forgiving and helping others. In my opinion, this school doesn't care about anyone or anything but money. I'll never forget how this schools attitude changed when I was no longer able to pay financially. After they sued me for being poor and not being able to afford to pay tuition back and the judgement ended up on my credit report under negative aspects, Dawn Taratuski at Bursars comment was : "You are the one with the bad credit!" Yes, I'm the one with the bad credit now for trusting in a CATHOLIC school like this to help me and treat me with respect as they claimed to when I needed them. I guess they just use the whole "Catholic" bit for marketing? In my opinion, this school is shameful and despicable. This school showed me their TRUE COLORS . I'll never forget their words through their lawyer in court: "We don't care what you do to get the money or where you get the money from, just get us our money." I can honestly say that I hate this school from the bottom of my heart and regret ever going to this school. The one semester I spent in this school has cost me years of misery. It's ironic for a school that teaches sympathy and empathy to lack both including class and decency. Congratulations on reaching University status. In my opinion, you only had to ruin so many lives, burn so many bridges and make yourself look like a hypocrite in court to achieve University status. Catholic organizations like Gwynedd Mercy College had no problem exploiting my family for millions using religion and Gods name but when the time came to help my family this school "INSISTED" on suing me over petty cash. I hope this school ,the catholic regime and their lawyers choke on every dollar ever collected from my family through their lies, manipulation and force. Because of my experience at this school, No catholic organization will ever receive another donation or any other form of support from me ever again. This school needs to learn some shame because suing poor former students is a shameful thing to do. Gwynedd Mercy college/University and St. Josephs University are the most despicable and disgraceful for doing this to former students since they claim to be Catholic colleges who teach behavior completely opposite of this act and they should be ashamed of this. This school sucks period. I hated every minute of the one semester I spent here. The instructors nearly bore me half to death and administration was cordial only during accepting payments. In addition, I heard their nursing program is not all that great as they were placed under a probationary/provisional license by the League of Nursing and Accreditation at one point because not enough graduates could pass the NCLEX state boards. Serves them right for making money instead of education their top priority!
I could not have chosen a better school to attend than Gwynedd Mercy University. Everyone involved within the academic/athletic community acknowledges the importance and embraces the interests of each and every student. The university is made up of individuals who strive to be the best and consistently go the extra mile. The opportunity to become a part of this community is truly priceless and I wish nothing but the best for those who decide to make GMercyU apart of their life.
